Sabrina Carpenter is manifestation’s best friend. On Tuesday (Sept. 16), the pop star was announced as one of three headliners for next year’s Coachella — something she publicly hoped for the last time she performed at the festival.

In a post on Instagram shortly after the news went live, Carpenter celebrated her top billing by sharing a clip from her 2024 Coachella set in which she tells the crowd, “See you back here when I headline!”

“Woman of my word,” the singer wrote in her caption.

Carpenter’s return to Coachella in 2026 will mark a full-circle moment, as the singer’s rise to superstardom was fueled by the release of breakout hit “Espresso” right before she played the festival. The first time she ever performed the song live was at her set in the desert.

The single then propelled Carpenter’s success over the next few months as she earned her first-ever No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with 2024’s Short n’ Sweet, which was also bolstered by Billboard Hot 100-topper “Please Please Please,” while “Espresso” ended up at No. 7 on Billboard’s Year-End Hot 100 chart for 2025.

In August, she dropped her follow-up, Man’s Best Friend, debuting again atop the Billboard 200. “you guys have made Man’s Best Friend my second #1 album and my highest debut ever,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “that is very surreal!!! i feel so lucky to have such beautiful love and support all around me … to see the way you are all resonating with it just makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”

The Girl Meets World alum will close down the main stage on both Fridays of Coachella 2026, which will take place the weekends of April 10-12 and 17-19. Justin Bieber will headline on the two Saturdays, while Karol G receives top billing on the Sundays.

Also locked in for next year’s festival are The xx, The Strokes, Young Thug, Turnstile, KATSEYE, Sexyy Red, Addison Rae, SOMBR, Laufey, Clips and dozens more. Check out the full lineup here.
