HANA’s “BAD LOVE” blasts in at No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 song chart released Sept. 17.
Members JISOO and MOMOKA of the septet took part in writing the lyrics for this song, which arrived on digital platforms Sept. 8. The breakout girl group performed this number live for the first time at ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025 on Sept. 13, and it launches at No. 1 for downloads, streaming, and video views, while coming in at No. 16 for radio airplay. “BAD LOVE” is the group’s third No. 1 on the Japan Hot 100, following “Blue Jeans” in July and “ROSE” in April. Both of the latter are still charting in the top 10 this week, with “Blue Jeans” at No. 3 and “ROSE” at No. 6. “ROSE” has gained 102% in points compared to the week before.
SixTONES’ “Stargaze” is at No. 2. The six-member boy band’s 16th single is featured as the pep song for this year’s long-running All Japan High School Quiz Championship show on the Nippon Television Network. The track sold 339,953 CDs in its first week to top sales and comes in at No. 20 for radio.
While, AiNA THE END’s “On the Way” rises a notch to No. 4, Fujii Kaze’s “Prema” breaks into the top 10, soaring 43-5 this week. The title track off his third studio album released Sept. 5 hits No. 2 for radio, No. 6 for video, No. 7 for streaming, and No. 10 for downloads, gaining in points for all metrics of the chart’s methodology. The lead single off this album, “Hachikō,” had also entered the top 10, hitting No. 9 on the chart released June 25. All nine tracks on this project are currently charting on the Japan Hot 100.
Snow Man’s “Charismax” slips to No. 7 but continues to chart in the top 10 for the third straight week. Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s “Summer Shadow” rises 9-8 and “KUSUSHIKI” 12-9. TREASURE’s “PARADISE” holds at No. 10, where it debuted last week, rising 3-1 for radio.
The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, audio streams, radio airplay, video views and karaoke data.
